Be here, or be square

Our vision is to become the resource-optimisation platform (♻️) for the food industry, and to lead the way towards a more sustainable society (🌎). Wow. Hold up. That sounded pompous. Let's just put it like this instead:

At Karma, we save food with the tap of a button. And with each tap, we make the world better. Easy, right?

We are always open to people with fire (🔥), grit and initiative. Learning is easy for someone with motivation and curiosity (🌟). Being humble (😌) and empathetic are qualities we highly value. Despite our different skill sets and backgrounds, we always listen (👂). Simply, because we want to learn from one another. We foster an open office culture in any way possible - currently only limited by our imagination!

Furthermore, we love people who are constantly moving forward; who can take an idea, and make it reality. We match our drive with positivity; so our teams have a solutions-instead-of-problems mindset. We don't just want the why, how, and when for a project. We want someone who asks 'what if' and takes us to a whole new level.

It's time we changed the game completely. You in? *go to job openings*

A zero food waste generation

Let's eliminate food waste together.

USER FIRST
Easy to use. Simple to interact with. Always humble and honest in communications.
PIONEERS
We aim for the moonshot and push boundaries in playful, creative and risky ways. Learning from failure is part of our success.
FAST MOVERS
Focus and speed is in our DNA. We are bias for action, curious and asking how we can do more with less in a changing environment.

This is how we roll

  • Numerous mood boosting activites

What the hell is a zen room? Truthfully, we don't know either. But we use it for yoga and other soft activities. Oh, did we mention we have a ping pong table as well?

  • Early bird or night owl?

As our team is growing, both early birds and night owls find themselves at Karma. Whichever you choose, there's something for you.
Perks of coming early: weekly breakfast.
Perks of staying late: video and board games.

  • Refill, anyone?

One simply cannot celebrate too often. We are keen champagne drinkers, quiz players and hosts of Karmazing after-works. No reason to celebrate is too small, nor too big.

Felt cute, might delete later

Working at Karma is a blast. Don't believe it? All right then, let the pictures speak for themselves.

What is the best thing about working at Karma?

Everything you do at Karma matters. You aren't just one, anonymous employee - you are central to building and growing a very special company

Charlie Brand & Communications Manager

The best part about Karma is the people. You get an opportunity of a lifetime to create a world saving business with people who are as passionate about it as you are. There's never a stale moment and always something new to learn from your colleagues.

Teemu Lead Design

Working with people that love to eat and have delicious conversations, that every day you learn from or get inspired by a colleague and of course not to forget the ping-pong table!

Sunny Customer Support Manager

It’s a pleasure to work with such a passionate, engaged, and fun team on a problem that is so important. I feel very lucky to be so constantly inspired by the people around me!

Kate Senior / Lead iOS Engineer

Getting you hired

Two things matter. How good are you at what you do? And how good of a match are we? We believe it to be as important to compliment our team socially, as it is to contribute with your competence. The four-stage process looks something like this:

1. Who are we and who are you?

Let’s start off with a chat over the phone. In normal times the next step is a face2face meet, but given the circumstances we’ll most likely chat over a Hangout. During the interview you’ll meet some of your closest colleagues, chat about your experience and get a feel for the role and team culture.

2. Show us what you can do

We’d love to see your work. Depending on what role you’re applying for, the task will vary. This will be our chance to get to know you even better, and for you to see for yourself what working at Karma is like.

3. Meet the Founders

In most cases, the last step is meeting one of our founders. You’ll have the opportunity to pick their brain and understand Karma as a product. We’ll discuss the company values and what the future holds for the company, and for you.

4. You rate us, and we rate you

Last but not least, it’s time to decide. You rate us, and we rate you. Then it’s time to finally make it official: you become a member of our crew.
